My Story

 

Hi I'm Tiffany. I love food, yoga, exercise, nature, dogs, true connections and feeling like my best self. I've been a vegetarian since I was 5 because of my love for animals. I enjoy running and it also feeds my rebellious tendencies because I was never supposed to run since I had serious leg surgery at age 2. I am a heart driven empathetic person with audacious dreams. I'm incredibly passionate about health and wellness but I don't think there needs to be an obsession with any of it. 

I've struggled with weight fluctuations most of my life because I began to emotionally eat after my great grandmother passed away on my 7th birthday. I'd go from being "average" to chunky and back, this continued up until I reached my heaviest of 224lbs at age 22. At that point in my life I was absolutely miserable; I hated how I looked and felt, and I was also trapped in an extremely toxic relationship. 

One day it hit me that I could make better decisions about food and movement but without counting, obsessing, restricting and measuring. I started just by adding in more fruits, vegetables and water while learning how to use the weight equipment at the gym and trying to run my first 5k. 

My clothes began to fit differently which led me to finally check out that the number on the scale was going down. My journey led me to lose 20lbs to gain it right back the next year to then losing almost 80lbs in 4 years total. 

Never once did I cut out carbohydrates, pizza, ice cream, pie or pasta. I made sure to always eat plenty of whole foods while still enjoying all the foods that I love. Movement became my medicine. It built confidence in myself and gave me a great outlet for releasing energy. 

In early 2020 I read a book called In The Flo, It drastically changed the way I viewed hormones, birth control and how the female body works. I ditched my hormonal birth control pills for the fertility awareness method and I haven't looked back. While I completely support Women in their right to choose and have access to whichever birth control method that is right for them, I know that cycle syncing and having real hormones is the best choice for me. It's also why I am passionate about helping women to balance their hormones without hbc while helping them to learn how to eat intuitively without restriction, shame or guilt.

My love for practicing yoga has grown immensely over the past few years which lead me to become a yoga instructor. Yoga is wonderful for the mind, body and spirit. I love the deep spirituality behind the physical aspects of the practice which I continue to explore and learn. If you are being called to the mat I hope you allow me to be one of your many teachers!
